Regional Strategic Account Manager - Mid Atlantic

The primary responsibility of the Regional Strategic Account Manager (RSAM) is to grow sales and achieve objectives in focus accounts. This will be accomplished by identifying focus accounts in the regional territory and utilizing a strategic approach applying business building principles, education, inventory management and office promotions to enhance the relationship and support in those focus accounts. The RSAM will also be expected to support the field based training needs of Sales Consultants (SC) as required by the region.  These goals will be accomplished by partnering with the Sales Consultants, Sales Training, and through the support of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) team. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 
  • Work with the SC and RSM to choose the Focus Accounts for each territory. These accounts will be chosen by assessing sales history, commitment to skin care, future opportunity and management input.
  • Regional Strategic Account Managers will be responsible for entering pertinent call information in the SMART CRM tool and will be responsible for all necessary administrative follow up required by SkinMedica.
  • Improve partnerships with Focus Accounts by strengthening relationships with physicians through specialty account management.
  • Increase investment of resources in Focus Accounts by conducting business review meetings, office trainings, promotions, and other account specific business building activities.
  • Increase customer contact and relationship building opportunities in concert with the local Sales Consultant.
  • Allocate time and resources in order to travel to Focus Accounts to conduct business building sessions with the physician and staff.
  • Educate and train Sales Consultants in the region as determined by the Regional Sales Manager and Director of Training.   RSAMs will be responsible for facilitating SkinMedica In field training and ongoing regional training needs as outlined in the Region Trainer description. They may also participate and assist in corporate training sessions on an as needed basis.
  • Align business decisions with strategic goals by demonstrating knowledge of market, competition and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with Sales Consultants through coaching and other leadership skills. 
  • Provide feedback to the RSM and work to communicate recommendations to each Sales Consultant.
  • Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • This position is estimated to have 80% travel.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aesthetic/Cosmeceutical sales experience preferred. Self-starter with a demonstrated sales record of success, strong interpersonal and communication skills and an exceptional desire to work in a fast-paced, growing, dynamic organization. Proven record of accomplishment with demonstrated ability to manage territory/train successfully. Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
